Source It is important to note that The Burren is a National Park and a Conservation Area. In less enlightened times, demand for waterworn limestone for gardening, sculpture and other purposes led to damage to some areas of The Burren. Our Burren Rock gifts are hand-picked from stone reclaimed from legitimate and permitted uses such as agricultural reclamation and building works outside the National Park and Conservation Area.
We do not and never will take stone from unknown sources or stone without a known provenance.
